The Bulletin SMC Flex 150-F970NBE is a smart motor controller that acts as a microprocessor for a 3-phase standard squirrel cage induction motor or a Wye-Delta (6-lead) motor. It gives 7 standard modes of operation within a single controller for maximum application flexibility. This microprocessor is best-suited for controlling 3-phase squirrel cage induction motors that have a 1-1250 A range rating and that have integrated pump control and braking control options. The role of the pump control is to decrease power surges when the centrifugal pump is starting and stopping. This is achieved by accelerating and decelerating the squirrel cage motor smoothly. The braking control makes use of the 150-F970NBE microprocessor’s smart motor braking, accu-stop, and slow speed with braking options to slow down and stop.
