The 1756-DNB is a dedicated communication module designed for effective use within , specifically integrating with DeviceNet networks. This product allows for efficient communication across various distances, enabling data rates of 125 Kbps for spans of 500 meters, increasing to 250 Kbps for 250 meters and reaching up to 500 Kbps over shorter 100-meter distances. Such flexibility in communication rates accommodates different system layouts and application requirements.

With a maximum capacity to connect up to 64 nodes, the 1756-DNB supports the expansion of device networks, making it suitable for extensive systems. The module requires 400 mA of current when powered at 5.1V DC, while at 24V DC, it does not draw any current. Notably, when operating within DeviceNet specifications, the module draws 60 mA at 24V DC to maintain functionality.
