The 1783-BMS06TL Switch is a Stratix 5700 series industrial switch. It comes with the Ethernet/IP interface. This network interface is designed for reliable and efficient industrial use and it has multiple network layers that each use different protocols. The 1783-BMS06TL Switch’s Ethernet/IP application layer uses the CIP or Common Industrial Protocol and the Ethernet/IP transport layer and network layer use the TCP/UDP/IP Protocols. The IP address on the 1783-BMS06TL Switch can be used to access the Ethernet/IP interface from any Ethernet port. The network allows the switch to connect to other switches as well as to routers and servers. It can also connect to I/O modules, HMIs, PLCs, drives, and sensors. The users can connect the 1783-BMS06TL Stratix 5700 Switch to a computer through the console port with a USB cable or an RJ45-to-DB-9 adapter cable.
