The Baumer HOG10DN1024I is a heavy-duty incremental rotary encoder designed for demanding industrial applications that require accurate rotational position and speed feedback. It uses an optical sensing principle to generate incremental quadrature signals with 1024 pulses per revolution (PPR), allowing precise measurement of shaft movement. The encoder features a blind hollow shaft design that mounts directly over a driven shaft without protruding, reducing mechanical stress and simplifying installation. Its rugged construction, including hybrid bearings and high shock/vibration resistance, makes it suitable for harsh environments such as manufacturing machinery, conveyors, robotics, processing equipment, and heavy systems.
