The GSIl27 galvanic separation unit is a versatileunit that can is used for the transmission of high-frequency AC signals over long distances inmeasurement chains using current-signaltransmission or as a safety barrier unit inmeasurement chains using voltage-signaltransmission. More generally, it may be used tosupply any electronic system (sensor side) havinga consumption of up to 22 mA.

The GSIl27 also rejects a large amount of theframe voltage that can introduce noise into ameasurement chain. (Frame voltage is theground noise and AC noise pickup that canoccur between the sensor case (sensor ground)and the monitoring system (electronic ground)).In addition, its redesigned internal power supplyresults in a floating output signal, eliminating theneed for an additional external power supplysuch as an APF19x.
