The 1762-OW8 is an Eight (8) point AC/DC relay-type output module for use with 1100/1200/1400 Programmable  Controllers. It is part of the Bulletin 1762 Expansion I/O Module series. It provides flexibility in industrial environments by maximizing the I/O capabilities of controllers in terms of type and count. It supports rackless modular design reduces replacement parts inventory and boosts cost savings. Plus, the 1762-OW8 can be mounted on a panel or a DIN rail. The 1762-OW8 Output Module has an AC/DC normally-open relay voltage category with an operating range of 5 to 265 Volts AC and 5 to 125 Volts DC. It has a maximum bus current draw of 80 mA at 5 Volts DC (0.40 Watts) and 90 mA at 24 Volts DC (2.16 Watts). Its maximum continuous current per common is 8 A, and it is 16 A per module. This device should be installed 6 modules away from the host device’s power supply. It houses two isolated output groups - outputs 0 to 3, and outputs 4 to 7. The 1762-OW8 Relay Output Module can be mounted on the EN 50 022 35 x 7.5 millimeters or the EN 50 022 35 x 15 millimeters DIN rails. For installation in high vibration or shock environments, use DIN rail end anchors. For greater vibration requirements, opt for panel mounting. For both DIN rail and panel mounting, keep debris from falling into the 1762-OW8 module to avoid any damage.

The 1762-OW8 is a Relay output expansion module. This expansion module feature Two (2) output groups, with each group having Four (4) outputs each. Group 0 is consisted of Channels 0-3 while Group 1 is comprised of Channels 4-7. This module is compatible for enhancing the embedded output capability of 1100, 1200 and 1400 Programmable Controller (PLC). This module features Eight (8) relay contact outputs that is designed to operate at voltage categories of 5 to 265VAC and 5 to 125VDC voltage ranges. This module connects to the MicroLogix bus via the provided ribbon cable that is terminated to the adjacent expansion module or the base controller. The signal delay time exhibited by each channel of the module is at 10 ms for both ON to OFF and OFF to ON transitions. Each output point is rated for 2.5 A continuous current, Continuous Current per common of 8A and Continuous Current per module of 16A.
