The 1785-L80C15 is embedded with a variety of communication ports particularly One (1) serial interface supporting DF1 protocol, One Data Highway Plus (DH+), One (1) Remote I/O (RIO) protocol, DH using 1785-KA, and ControlNet communication port using RG6 coax media cable. ODH+, RIO and ControlNet are capable of networked topology and high-speed data exchange.
The 1785-L80C15 is also capable of being configured in 2-slot, 1-slot and ½ slot addressing. With 2-slot addressing, any mix of 8-pt modules, 16-pt modules may be used. With 1-slot addressing, any mix of 8-16 pt modules may be used while 32 pt modules must be in I/O pairs. With ½ slot addressing, any mix of 8, 16 or 32 pt modules may be used. |
