The 2711P-T6M5D8 is a PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal. This operator terminal is part of the sub-category, PanelView Plus 6 600 that mainly features a 5.7-inch Grayscale TFT LCD display screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 in 16-levels gray and a viewing area of 115 x 86 mm (4.5 x 3.4 in.). The 2711P-T6M5D8 also comes with a 4-wire, analog resistive touchscreen operator interface that is designed to be operated up to 1 million actuations at an operating force of 10-100 g. This input mechanism allows for direct interaction between operators and runtime objects published by the HMI device. Operators can simply touch the target object to launch the configured action and features needed to monitor, modify values, and input commands to the connected machine or process. The 2711P-T6M5D8 is intended to communicate with a PLC via the built-in RS232 communication interface that supports DF1 and DH-485 protocol. It can be used for point-to-point communication only at a maximum distance of 15 meters. USB host and Device ports are also available to this HMI hardware allowing attachment of USB-capable devices such as a mouse, keyboard, and removable flash drive for alternative storage. In addition, this operator terminal has a built-in Secure Digital (SD) Card slot for insertion of 1784-SD1 or 1784-SD2 non-volatile memory. The integrated memory is available to the 2711P-T6M5D8 amounts to 256 Random Access Memory (RAM) and 512 MB non-volatile memory.
