The Emerson IC200CPUE05-MX Controller Module comes with a super capacitor that is able to power the memory for up to an hour.  A run/stop switch is present in the module for controlling the operations.  The CPU is able to process floating point data functions.  The CPU module comes with 2 sets of LEDs on the top corner and the lower right corner.  It comes with the PWR, OK, RUN, FAULT, FORCE, PORT 1, and PORT 2 LEDs that illuminates when power is present in the module and to send different update messages to the users.  The IC200CPUE05-MX Controller Module can be programmed by using the ladder diagram and instruction list programming languages.  The CPU features EGD time synchronization and supports up to 8 SRTP server connections.

The IC200CPUE05-MX is a Central Processing Unit (CPU) module that is part of the VersaMax Programmable Controller (PLC) product family.  This CPU, also termed as controller is used to execute the downloaded logic to the CPU’s memory.  This CPU has a compact form that supports horizontal or vertical mounting onto a DIN rail and highly scalable.

The IC200CPUE05-MX has 64 Kbytes of user configurable memory and capable of handling up to 64 modules or up to 2048 I/O points.  It has embedded One (1) 9-pin sub-D connector that supports RS232 standard, One (1) 15-pin sub-D connector that supports RS485 standard and One (1) Ethernet communication port that supports transmission rate of 10Mbps, Full and Half duplex and capable of up to Eight (8) SRTP connections and Thirty-Two (32) Ethernet Global Data (EGD) configuration-based exchanges.
