The Contact Closure Digital Input Module is self-powered,providing 15VDC to external switching hardware to closethe input loop. A closed external circuit causes currentflow to the input to establish an ON state. Logic in thecontroller allows this state to be inverted whennecessary. Four common terminals are provided tosimplify field wiring.There is a green LED state indicator for each channel toindicate when a digital input is ON. A green blinkingstatus LED on the module indicates when the module isbeing scanned. An amber blinking status LED indicateswhen channels are forced and a red status LED whenmodule diagnostics exist.
