The MTL 9122‑IS‑CM is an intrinsically safe FISCO power supply module designed for Foundation Fieldbus networks in hazardous industrial environments. It conditions and supplies power to an intrinsically safe fieldbus segment while providing vital isolation and repeater functionality. This unit is intended for Gas Group IIB applications and carrier‑mount installations in Zone 2 areas, enabling safe and reliable operation of field devices in Zone 1 or other hazardous zones. By complying with the Fieldbus Intrinsically Safe Concept (FISCO) requirements of IEC 60079‑11 and IEC 60079‑25, the 9122‑IS‑CM allows greater device count and longer cable runs on the IS network than traditional intrinsic safety limits would permit.
