Description：

The Pepperl+Fuchs RSD-GW3-Ex2.DPE is a PROFIBUS DP gateway designed to serve as the interface between the PROFIBUS DP-V1 network and the internal manufacturer-specific bus. It converts the protocol of the internal bus to the PROFIBUS DP protocol and vice versa, enabling communication between field devices and the control system.

The gateway supports the connection of up to eight I/O modules through the internal backplane bus. Communication with the connected I/O modules is carried out via the address and data lines of the backplane bus. System configuration and parameter assignment are performed by PACTware™, while HART telegrams received through PROFIBUS DP-V1 are forwarded to the HART field devices connected to the I/O modules. HART communication can also be performed using PACTware™ through the gateway interface while the PROFIBUS DP network remains in operation.
