Programmable controller (PC for short). Different from the PC of personal computer, it is represented by PLC. User programs are designed by users according to control requirements. Generally speaking, PLCs are divided into two types: box-type and modular. But their composition is the same. For box-type PLCs, there is a CPU board, I/O board, display panel, memory block, power supply, etc. Of course, they are divided into several models according to CPU performance, and there are several specifications according to the number of I/O points. For modular PLCs, there are CPU modules, I/O modules, memory, power modules, base plates or racks. PLCs of any structural type belong to bus-type open structures, and their I/O capabilities can be expanded and combined according to user needs. PLCs have the characteristics of strong versatility, easy use, wide adaptability, high reliability, strong anti-interference ability, and simple programming. It can be expected that in the field of industrial control, the application of PLC control technology will surely form a world trend.
