The EMERSON PR6423/01K-010 is a high-precision, non-contact eddy-current displacement (proximity) sensor, part of the widely used PR6423 8 mm sensor family. It’s engineered for critical industrial applications — especially in rotating machinery (turbines, compressors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, etc.) — where accurate measurement of shaft displacement, vibration, eccentricity and position is required. Because it measures without physical contact, it avoids wear, mechanical interference, and doesn’t load the shaft. The sensor is built for rugged environments, providing stable displacement measurements even under temperature extremes and in harsh industrial conditions. It can be integrated with appropriate signal conditioning (e.g. a signal converter) to feed monitoring / control / protection systems in heavy-duty machinery setups.
