The 32-bit GE Fanuc IC693PBS105 Slave module has a shelf life of about 10 years at an optimal operating temperature of 20 degrees Celsius or 68 degrees Fahrenheit. The memory retention lasts for up to 6 months nominal without applied power. The IC697MEM735 memory module has been designed to meet the VME standards and it has 2.25 Amps of current rating for the expansion memory board and the CPU module.
The IC693PBS105 module retains the memory on the CPU.This is because the IC693PBS105 module features a lithium battery that is installed to ensure that the user memory is not lost whenever there is a power disconnection. Moreover, the lithium battery is responsible for ensuring the calendar clock on the PLC or the CPU remains accurate.
