Functions of IC697CPU731 include controlling processes, machines, and systems to handle materials in real time. The CPU can support up to 8K analog I/O modules including the discrete and analog module family of IC697. It communicates with smart option modules and I/O using a Standard format of VME C.1.
GE Fanuc IC697CPU731 is a 12 MHz, 32 Kbyte Central Processing Unit using the 80C186 microprocessor. This CPU’s single slot is located inside the PLC rack. IC697CPU731 uses MS-DOS or Windows programming software (over Ethernet TCP/IP or through the SNP port) for this module to perform proper programming and configuration.
