The Bently Nevada 330101-00-52-10-12-05 is a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe designed for use as part of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System. Together with the corresponding extension cable and Proximitor® Sensor, it forms a complete eddy current proximity transducer system for non-contact measurement of rotating machinery parameters.
The complete system produces an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. This relationship enables the transducer system to detect changes in the gap between the probe and target and use those changes for proximity measurement.
The system is capable of measuring both static and dynamic values. Static measurements are used for position, while dynamic measurements are used for vibration, allowing the same transducer system to support different machinery monitoring requirements.

A: No. Standard Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8mm probes are factory-calibrated specifically for AISI 4140 steel. Measuring other metals (e.g., aluminum or stainless steel) requires a custom-calibrated Proximitor sensor.
Q : What is the linear measuring range of this 8mm probe?
A: The standard linear range is 2.0 mm (approximately 80 mils).
Q : What is the Standard Scale Factor (ASF) of the 3300 XL 8mm system?
A: The scale factor is 7.87 V/mm (or 200 mV/mil) when targets are made of standard AISI 4140 steel.
