The 21000/24701 Proximity Housing Assemblies from Bently Nevada are designed for external mounting of proximity probes in a variety of industrial applications. These housing assemblies are available with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approvals and are rated explosion-proof, making them suitable for hazardous areas. The housings can be ordered with CSA-approved proximity probes for intrinsically safe applications, providing peace of mind when working in environments with strict safety regulations.
The sleeve length for these housing assemblies is determined by the location where the probe and housing will be installed. It is important to note that the probe lead must be longer than the sleeve. For sleeve lengths exceeding 304 mm (12 inches), additional sleeve support is required to reduce vibrations associated with long, unsupported sleeves. For such applications, Bently Nevada offers a probe support and oil seal (part number 37948-01) for long sleeves that pass through an inner bearing housing. Additionally, custom sleeve supports can be provided to meet specific application needs.
These assemblies offer a robust and flexible solution for machinery condition monitoring, enabling easy maintenance and probe replacement while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
