Both housings are certified asCSA Type 4 enclosures and are fully compliant with theAmerican Petroleum Institute's (API) 670 Standard forexternally mounted proximity probe housings.

Sleeve length is determined by the location in which the probeand housing will be installed. The probe lead must be longer than the sleeve. Sleeve lengths longer than 304mm (12 inches) require additional sleevesupport to reduce the vibration associated withunsupported long sleeve lengths.
