The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are in applications where counter bore, side-view, or rear-view restrictions prevent the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 mm and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is especially suitable for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). This system is primarily used in the following applications on fluid-film bearing machines where small shafts or limited side-view access exist:
Radial vibration and radial position measurements
Axial (thrust) position measurements
Tachometer and zero speed measurements
Phase reference (Keyphasor signals)
