Bently NevadaTM Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systemsare designed to measure absolute (relative to free space)bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The two-wiresystems consist of a transducer and appropriate cable.

The Seismoprobe family of velocity transducers is a two-wiredesign that uses moving-coil technology. It provides avoltage output directly proportional to the transducer's vibration velocity.

Moving-coil transducers are less sensitive to impact orimpulsive excitation than solid-state velocity transducers,which are inherently accelerometers with embedded integration electronics.

Q2: Does this sensor require an external proximity monitor or transmitter?

A: No. Unlike traditional eddy current probes that require a separate Proximitor, the 9200 is a self-contained velocity sensor. It processes the vibration signal internally and sends the 4-20mA loop signal directly to your control system.

A: Yes. Because it uses a universal 2-wire 4-20mA loop, you can wire it straight into any standard analog input (AI) card of major control systems.
